Guided tour to Meridianst√łtta

We walk to the northern terminus of Struve's meridian arc, following in the footsteps of astronomer D.G. Lindhagen, who made the astronomical observations in Hammerfest in 1850. At the same time, we take a historical look back at the city of Hammerfest as we walk through the streets.

Duration - about 2 hours.

Recommend warm clothes.

We start with a short intro to the museum and visit the exhibition about Struve's meridian arch.

2.5 km one way. Total 5 km. After asphalt on plain road.

Included in the price is free admission to the museum's exhibitions.

    The building The Reconstruction Museum contains: The main exhibition that tells the story of WW2 in Finnmark and North Troms with subsequent reconstruction, World Heritage Center of the Struve Meridian Arc and temporary exhibitions. Fuglenesodden open-air museum is located at Skansen 3.
