The South Island, the green island to the north, is 20 km. outside Hammerfest town, a boat journey of approx. 1 hour. The bike tours that start from Lotre and from Hellefjord are 25 -30 km. round trip, and takes place in very scenic surroundings. From Akkarfjord (day 2) you can choose cycling trips to Finnvik and to Gamvik, combined with a hike to Kjøttvikvarden and possibly to Tarhaldsen. You can visit Sandfjellet, beautiful beaches or visit a camel farm. Day 1 ends with local dinner dishes served at Akkarfjord mechanical kitchen.

Everyone must bring their own bike. Everyone makes their own packed lunch for an excursion. For hikers: Bring good clothing and suitable footwear. Feel free to bring walking poles.
